ASIFA-South Digital Services & SMS Program

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of ASIFA-South’s website, digital platforms, communications, and messaging services, including our SMS program (“Program”). By using our services or opting into communications, you agree to these Terms.

1. Program Description (SMS & Communications)

ASIFA-South provides communications related to events, workshops, screenings, membership opportunities, deadlines, discounts, and organizational updates. These communications may be delivered via SMS (text message), email, social media platforms, or other digital channels.

2. Opt-In & Consent

By providing your contact information (including phone number or email), you consent to receive communications from ASIFA-South through applicable channels. Consent to receive marketing messages is not a condition of purchase or membership.

3. Opt-Out Instructions (SMS Compliance)

You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text STOP to any message you receive. After you send the SMS message STOP, we will send you a confirmation message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. If you want to join again, you can sign up as you did the first time, and we will resume sending SMS messages to you.

5. Message Frequency & Rates

Message frequency will vary based on events, programming, and engagement. You will receive periodic recurring messages. Message and data rates may apply for messages sent to you from us and to us from you. For questions about your messaging or data plan, contact your wireless provider.

6. Carrier Disclaimer

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

7. Email & Digital Marketing Communications

By subscribing to ASIFA-South communications, you may receive emails or other digital marketing messages, including newsletters, announcements, promotional offers, and updates. You may unsubscribe from email communications at any time using the “unsubscribe” link included in our messages.

8. Social Media Management & Account Access

ASIFA-South may utilize social media management tools and integrations to manage, schedule, publish, and analyze content across social media platforms.

If you connect your personal or organizational social media accounts to ASIFA-South services, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • We may access certain account information, including profile data, page details, and content necessary to manage and publish posts

  • We may create, schedule, edit, and publish content on your behalf where permission is granted

  • We may access analytics and performance data (such as engagement metrics, impressions, and audience insights)

  • Access is limited to the permissions explicitly granted by you through the respective platform

 

ASIFA-South does not access private messages, login credentials, or sensitive account data beyond what is required to provide these services.

You may revoke access at any time through the respective social media platform settings. ASIFA-South is not responsible for platform outages, API limitations, or changes made by third-party social media providers.

9. Use of Digital Platforms & Third-Party Tools

ASIFA-South may use third-party platforms and tools to support communications, marketing, analytics, and operations. These may include email marketing systems, CRM platforms, cloud databases, SMS providers, and social media management tools such as Twilio and similar services.

These providers may process data on our behalf solely to deliver ASIFA-South services and are expected to maintain appropriate security and privacy protections.

ASIFA-South is not responsible for damages resulting from the use of our services, including delays, interruptions, third-party platform failures, or inaccuracies in communications delivered via SMS, email, or social media tools.

ASIFA-South reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Updates will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of those changes.
