This year, our theme is Pixel in Play, a celebration of fun, creativity, and the joy of making. As animation, games, and immersive media continue to intersect and evolve into new storytelling multiverses, we invite you to be part of a festival that explores these exciting connections. Rooted in accessibility, inclusivity, and artistic advocacy, we come together to play, create, and imagine the future of storytelling.
We're happy to announce our keynote speaker this year, Lauren Brown, art director at Wizard of the Coast on Magic the Gathering, Emmy Award Winning illustrator, and artist advocate to share her keynote insights.
ARTISTIC Development
In addition to our signature portfolio review session, we have a sit-in session where you can chat with industry experts in different areas of the animation field to get to know them better. Our special guest and board of director Allyssa Lewis (professional recruiter/ animation strategist- Netflix Animation, Blizzard) is also taking limited slots online for pitch sessions to help you refine your pitches to networks.
EXPO HALL
This year, we have over 20+ expo booths featuring indie studios, local artists, organizations, and demo booths such as WACOM, Binders, Adam Alane Studio, Silver Comet Productions, VES Society Atlanta, Joanna Davidovich, and more! Included in a special fundraising auction and our Pop Up ASIFAC Museum with special guest Susan Liebeskind, serving as our human library with a story of an animation enthusiast in Georgia.
Panels, Roundtables, Workshop
Our roundtables are designed to maximize engagement and foster community involvement where attendees get to get up close and personal with our experts, providing a platform for voices from across the industry.
3 Short Blocks of Screenings + Special LOCAL HIghLIGHT presentation "PIXIPALS"
Catch our three signature animated shorts film blocks: All Ages (Friday 21st) and Southern Spotlight and International Selections (Saturday 22nd) at the Cinefest Theater along with an advanced preview presentation of "PIXIPALS" animated short from local animators Indi L. Solis and Neko Pilarcik-Tellez (former ASIFAC winner).
VIP AWARDS CEREMONY PARTY
The festival culminates on Sunday August the 23rd with an invite-only awards ceremony and mixer for ASIFA members and special guests, celebrating the best in animation talent and innovation.
