Interested in interning with ASIFA-SOUTH? If you are interested in learn how to program animation screenings, the process of selection, writing grants, running an animation workshop, then you might be interested in working with us! Internships are selected based on your resume and cover letter and based on a quarterly system.

Interns will get real experience working with our assets to create mini animated youtube snippets for educational content as well as working on our ASIFA-SOUTH RYO Animation Festival bumper that will play at the Plaza Theater. Interns will also work with us to learn how to coordinate children’s animation workshops for schools and libraries.


Want to learn about how to program a screening and what festivals look for in content? Learn how to use Film Freeway’s back office as well as the pro and cons of programming outlets, prepping for a festival, and the linguistics/ secret trade of festival submissions.


Learn how to submit for grants, artistic venues, working prime time of social media release, how to manage the website’s backoffice, as well as work with our marketing director to learn about how to make artist/organization partners, sponsorships, and venues.


Assist in setting up animation workshops and template curriculum for children of different ages as well as setting up a training workshop for teachers that want to teach animation.
